Fatima al-Damkhi

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9, (Agencies): In a recent statement to a local newspaper actress Fatima Al-Damkhi announced her permanent retirement from the entertainment industry, expressing her decision to delete all her social media accounts. Al-Damkhi, who entered the world of acting in late 2014 with the series “Take Care of Your Lands,” cited her primary reason for retirement as her commitment to begin university studies.

Detailing her decision, Al-Al-Damkhi stated, “The main reason behind my decision to retire is my readiness to start my university studies, specializing in interior and exterior engineering. It’s a field that requires four continuous years of full-time study and dedication to achieve the highest academic grades.” She emphasized her desire to dedicate herself fully to her studies and her role as a mother.

Responding to questions about balancing acting and education, Al-Damkhi said, “For me, I feel that I have additional responsibilities in my life, especially as a mother, and managing my daily study routine has been challenging. Trying to balance both roles has been challenging over the past period, and I attempted to juggle them, but the commitment to my studies took precedence.”

When asked about any potential return to acting in the upcoming Ramadan season, Al-Damkhi clarified, “The last series I participated in was ‘Mama Ghanima,’ but for this season, I haven’t signed any contracts. I received offers, but I haven’t leaned toward participating in any series. I believe that deciding my future is more important than anything else.”

Regarding the possibility of returning to acting after a few months, Al-Damkhi firmly stated, “My decision to retire is final, as my studies will be time-consuming and require complete focus. I want to build my future as an engineer without any distractions.”
