Fashionista Fatima Al-Moumen Denied Bail in Kuwait City Accident Case

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: The Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Saleh Al-Asousi, refused to release the “fashionista” Fatima Al-Moumen on bail in the Al-Soor Road accident case in Kuwait City, and adjourned the case to the session on February 15 to present the defense. On October 25, the lower court ruled that Al-Moumen be imprisoned for three years in the case that preoccupied public opinion for two months. It also ruled that Al-Moumen’s driver’s license be withdrawn for one year in the case of manslaughter, crossing a red light, and driving above the average speed. It is worth explaining that the accident occurred at dawn on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the intersection of Al-Soor Street and King Fahad bin Abdulaziz Road in Kuwait City, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to two others.
