Fashionista appeal rejected

KUWAIT CITY, March 14:The Court of Appeals presided over by Judge Salem Al-Asousi rejected the appeal submitted by the fashionista Fatima Al-Moumen against the verdict issued by a lower court which sentenced her for three-year imprisonment for causing a major traffic accident on Al-Sour Street in Capital Governorate. The court also upheld the withdrawal of her driver’s license for one year on charges of manslaughter, crossing a red signal, and driving above the allowed speed limit. It is noteworthy that the accident occurred at dawn on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the intersection of the Soor Street and King Fahad bin Abdulaziz Road in Kuwait, which resulted in the death of two people and injuries to two others.
