KUWAIT CITY, Jan 26 (KUNA): Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Nasser has underscored the significance of Kuwait Sports Day, set for February 7 on Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge, calling it a national initiative that encourages community participation in diverse sporting activities.

The Governor made the remarks after receiving the President and members of the Kuwait “Sports for All” Federation, who extended an official invitation to join the event, held under the patronage of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.

Sheikh Athbi noted that all state institutions are committed to participating, highlighting the event’s role in promoting sports as a lifestyle. He also praised the continued support of government officials in ensuring the success of Kuwait Sports Day.

He encouraged citizens and residents of Farwaniya to join the activities, which aim to foster community sports, encourage physical activity, and spread awareness of healthy living across all segments of society.

Federation President Faisal Al-Maqseed added that national leadership remains dedicated to supporting sports events and strengthening collaboration between government entities and sports organizations to enhance public health and active living.

Al-Maqseed emphasized the Federation’s ongoing efforts with state institutions to organize an event that reflects Kuwait’s commitment to people’s well-being and quality of life, while expressing gratitude to the Farwaniya Governor and residents for their active participation in Kuwait Sports Day.
