KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: The Court of Appeals imposed a fine of KD 3,000 on a popular artist Khaled Al-Mulla after he was convicted of insulting a lawyer through a video clip. The plaintiff’s lawyer had filed a complaint against Al-Mulla, accusing him of insulting his client via a video clip that went viral on social media based on his conviction in a complaint submitted by a judge about one of his songs that was played during a TV program. The plaintiff explained that he had filed the complaint against Al-Mulla with the Public Prosecution in order for legal measures to be taken to preserve his dignity, as well as to limit the repeated abuses of the judiciary.
