KUWAIT CITY, Dec 26: The recent assaults on security personnel while on duty have prompted the Ministry of Interior to issue a comprehensive statement. Legal measures have been set in motion against the individuals involved, with a range of charges, including assaulting a public employee during the execution of their duties, insulting a public employee, and the misuse of a phone for photography, being levied against them. The accused parties are now facing a 10-day detention in the central prison as the investigation progresses, and their vehicle is slated for transfer to the traffic reservation garage.

Underscoring a resolute position, the Ministry of Interior is unwavering in its commitment to dealing firmly with those who insult and assault security personnel. This determination is fueled by the revelation that the driver of the vehicle, accused of reckless driving in a widely circulated video clip, was also involved in an assault on security personnel.

Further developments in the case reveal that the relatives of the accused have been apprehended at the police station, and the vehicle in question has been relocated to the impound garage. These actions follow thorough investigations leading to the registration of a case encompassing five charges: insulting and assaulting a public employee during duty, threatening, misuse of a phone, misuse of force, and aiding an accused individual in escaping.
