KUWAIT CITY, June 20: A mistaken report of a fight in Farwaniya led to the detention of two Asian expatriates and their transfer to the Deportation Department, where they are now facing removal from Kuwait and a ban on re-entry to Kuwait or any other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country.
According to reports, the two men, aged 30 and 32, were initially taken into custody at Farwaniya Police Station after authorities responded to a report of a disturbance in Block 5.
However, the case took an unexpected turn after it emerged that the report was inaccurate. Despite the circumstances surrounding their arrest, the two expatriates were detained and transferred for deportation procedures.
Authorities are preparing to add their names to the list of individuals prohibited from returning to Kuwait or entering other GCC countries.
The incident highlights the serious consequences that can follow security reports and the strict measures taken by authorities in cases involving public order and residency regulations.
