KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The Court of Appeals sentenced a First Sergeant Officer to five years imprisonment, ordered his dismissal from his position, and imposed a fine of KD 3,000 on him. His partner was also sentenced to five years imprisonment.
They were accused of stealing the oil company’s cables worth KD 1,500 from a restricted area. Officers from the Ministry of Interior had arrested the two individuals in possession of electrical cables weighing 500 kilograms from an unknown source and two hacksaws in their car. They confessed to stealing them from the site of a construction company using the seized tools.
