KUWAIT CITY, July 15, (KUNA): The Kuwait Squash Association has appointed former national team player Falah Marzouq as the general coach of the national squad across all levels.

Federation Secretary Hamed Al-Omran told KUNA that Marzouq’s appointment is based on his extensive experience and distinguished playing career, which included top finishes at the continental level, as well as his impressive coaching record with Burgan Club. Al-Omran noted that Marzouq "possesses all the elements of success and aligns with the federation’s strategy to advance the sport."

He added that Marzouq brings a "modern and progressive coaching philosophy," along with proven expertise in developing young talent and elevating the overall standard of players—a key objective in the federation’s long-term vision to compete strongly on the international stage.

Al-Omran also stated that the federation’s board of directors, chaired by Walid Al-Sumaie, approved Marzouq’s appointment for a renewable one-year term. He emphasized that the decision followed the recommendation of the National Teams Committee.

He concluded by thanking the Public Authority for Sports and its acting Director General, Bashar Abdullah, for their full support in facilitating the appointment of the new national coach.
