KUWAIT CITY, May 11: In response to circulating rumors on social media regarding an alleged extension of the Eid al-Adha holiday, Mr. Salah Al-Saqabi, Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, has issued an official clarification.

He confirmed that the Civil Service Bureau has not issued any new statement or directive concerning an extension of the Eid break. The only official announcement remains the circular issued by the Amiri Diwan, which outlines the holiday schedule in observance of the Day of Arafat and Eid al-Adha for the Hijri year 1446, in line with the decision of the esteemed Council of Ministers.

Mr. Al-Saqabi urged the public and media outlets to exercise caution when sharing or publishing information attributed to the Civil Service Bureau. He emphasized the importance of relying solely on the Bureau’s official social media platforms for accurate and verified announcements.

Earlier, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has officially announced the Eid Al-Adha holiday schedule for the Hijri year 1446. All ministries, government agencies, public authorities, and institutions will observe a holiday from Thursday, June 5, 2025, through Sunday, June 8, 2025, in celebration of the Day of Arafat and Eid Al-Adha.

In addition, Monday, June 9, 2025, has been designated as a day off. Normal working hours will resume on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

The CSC noted that for institutions with a special operational nature, holiday schedules will be set by the relevant authorities in accordance with public interest requirements.
