KUWAIT CITY, July 1: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Rumaithiya Police Station accusing a compatriot of selling him two rings with fake precious stones, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant said he discovered the forgery when he went to a jeweler to check on the quality of the precious stones. When the compatriot was summoned he admitted to the charge. He also told police at the time of buying the complainant was fully aware of the quality of the stones and paid the due price. He added because the complainant failed to sell the rings for a profit, he filed a complaint against him. Investigations conducted by securitymen showed the complainant was telling the truth. The complaint has been shelved.Woman duped: An unidentified Iraqi woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing a 29-year-old man of forgery, reports Al-Anba daily. In her complaint the woman said the man convinced her that he had married her and to prove it, he even showed her the marriage contract which later turned out to be a forged document. She filed the complaint with the police after giving birth to a baby in the Jahra Hospital because she cannot register the baby since the marriage contract is not genuine.
