Fake Cops Rob Asian Expatriate at Gunpoint in Fintas

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: Fintas cops have launched a search for two unidentified men suspected of robbing an Asian expatriate at gunpoint after allegedly impersonating police officers.

According to a security source, the victim reported that he was on his way home from work at around 7:00 p.m. when two men stopped him, identified themselves as detectives and claimed they suspected him of possessing narcotics.

The suspects searched him but found no drugs. They then demanded his wallet, claiming they needed to verify his identity. The victim complied, but the suspects allegedly stole his civil ID and the contents of his wallet.

When the victim attempted to resist and call for help, the suspects allegedly assaulted him before fleeing the scene.

A case was registered on charges of robbery with violence and impersonating police officers. Detectives have intensified their investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects and determine the full circumstances of the incident.
