KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: In a major blow to illegal activities threatening public safety, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has uncovered and dismantled a clandestine alcohol manufacturing factory operating inside a rest house in the Kabd area.

The raid was carried out by the General Department of Criminal Investigation, represented by the Department of Public Morals Protection and Combating Human Trafficking, following precise intelligence and extensive investigations. Authorities stormed the location to find it fully equipped with specialized machinery and tools used to produce liquor.

According to the Ministry, the factory contained large quantities of filled bottles ready for illegal distribution, along with numerous empty bottles and professional-grade filling equipment. Investigators also discovered counterfeit labels identical to those used on imported alcoholic beverages, indicating a well-organized operation aimed at deceiving consumers and flooding the local market.

Those running the illegal factory were arrested on the spot, and all seized items were confiscated. The suspects have been referred, along with the evidence, to the competent authorities to face strict legal action.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to intensifying security campaigns and warned that it will show zero tolerance toward any activities that undermine the security, morals, and safety of society. It stressed that violators will be relentlessly pursued and held accountable in accordance with the law.
