Fact Check: Viral Assault Video Was Not Filmed at Farwaniya Hospital

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has denied claims circulating on social media that a video showing an alleged assault on a medical staff member was filmed at Farwaniya Hospital.

The ministry said it is following up on the video and confirmed that the footage was not recorded at Farwaniya Hospital or at any hospital, medical centre or health facility affiliated with the Ministry of Health in Kuwait.

While thanking the public for their concern over the safety of healthcare workers, the Ministry urged people to verify information before sharing or attributing social media content to its facilities.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of obtaining information from its official sources to avoid the spread of inaccurate claims concerning incidents at Kuwait’s healthcare facilities.
