KUWAIT CITY, Mar 08: On the first working day after the decision was issued to suspend 7 countries expats from entering Kuwait. At Farwaniya passport office large numbers of expats flocked to inquire about their fate of legal status of residence, especially those who have valid residency and are nearing completion while they are outside Kuwait and some who entered on family visit visa and commercial visit visa and their visas have expired or expiring this week.

Security source stated that there is a tendency to extend between 7 days to 14 days for the sponsors of family and business visits currently present in the country, and a circular is expected to be issued today or tomorrow at the latest, after the approval of the First Deputy Council of Ministers and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh.

Those whose residence will be expiring and if they are outside Kuwait, prior to the circular were issued then 3-month extension will be given for those who are outside Kuwait only from those countries which are listed in ban list.(AL RAI)
