TEHRAN, July 15: Multiple explosions were reported across southern Iran on Wednesday as U.S. military operations against Iranian targets continued to intensify.
Iran's IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency reported that two explosions were heard in parts of Konarak in southeastern Iran, with the sound of U.S. fighter jets also heard flying overhead during the incident.
Separately, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported another explosion in the southwestern city of Ahvaz. Khuzestan's deputy governor said four locations in the province had been attacked earlier, though no further details were immediately provided.
In another development, Mehr reported that U.S. projectiles struck a site near the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, a strategically important area overlooking the Strait of Hormuz.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or the extent of the damage. Iranian authorities have yet to release a comprehensive assessment of the incidents as military activity across the region continues to escalate.
