Explosions reported near Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island in southern Iran

TEHRAN, Jul 13: Explosions were heard near the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas and on Qeshm Island around midday Monday, according to Iranian state media.

State media said the blasts appeared to originate from an area some distance from Bandar Abbas, possibly along the city's western coastline. No immediate information was provided on the cause of the explosions or whether there were any casualties or damage.
