Explosions Reported in Iran’s Bandar Abbas and Sirik

TEHRAN, July 20: Several explosions were reported in southern Iran on Monday, with blasts heard in the port city of Bandar Abbas and near Sirik in Hormozgan province, Iranian state media reported.

Iran’s state television reported an explosion in Bandar Abbas, while the semi-official Fars News Agency said multiple blasts were heard in the eastern part of Hormozgan province near Sirik.

Local sources reported hearing explosions from the direction of the sea in the hours before the reports, but the exact location and cause remained unclear.
