Safe places
KUWAIT CITY, March 10: The Center for Government Communication (CGC) in Kuwait has issued new safety guidance urging citizens and residents to immediately move to secure indoor locations if they hear an explosion.
In an awareness graphic circulated through official channels, the CGC identified several safe areas inside buildings where individuals can take shelter to reduce the risk of injury. These include corridors, spaces under staircases, interior rooms, and ground-level basements, which provide greater protection from potential blast effects and falling debris.
The advisory also warned the public to avoid locations that could expose them to danger, such as rooftops, outdoor areas, spaces near windows, and outer perimeter walls. Such locations increase the risk of injury from shockwaves, shrapnel, or shattered glass.
The CGC stressed the importance of remaining indoors and avoiding unnecessary movement outside until authorities confirm that the situation has stabilized.
The guidance forms part of ongoing public awareness efforts aimed at enhancing safety preparedness and protecting the public during emergencies, as authorities continue to monitor regional developments and maintain readiness to respond to any incidents.
