KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24 : The Ministry of Education (MoE) has asked its finance counterpart to approve a financial transfer in order to pay the end-of-service benefits of 271 expatriate employees whose services ended over the past few months, reports Al-Rai daily. An educational source revealed to the daily that the item for end-of-service benefits of non-Kuwaitis under sub-contract is in deficit; indicating that once the transfer procedures are completed, dues will be disbursed to the beneficiaries immediately.

It can be recalled that the end-of-service benefits for non- Kuwaiti employees in previous years were paid through the Civil Service Commission (CSC) – before its budget was transferred to government agencies for each agency to use its general budget for such a disbursement.
