Expats from 35 banned countries to continue staying for 14 days in a transit country

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 16: From 21st Feb (Sunday) as expats will be allowed to re-enter Kuwait again with compulsory 7 days institutional quarantine on own expense there has been no news on procedures for those who will arrive from 35 banned countries. Do they still have to spend 14 days in a non banned country and then return to Kuwait or can they take a connecting flight?


 According to the officials, the expats from banned countries are required to stay in a non banned country for a period of 14 days before heading to Kuwait, reports Al Qabas. Upon arrival they will be subjected to institutional quarantine in a hotel for a week at their own expense, followed by a home quarantine for a week.  PCR negative certificate of 72 hours validity is required with registration on Kuwait Moussafir App.

Currently 1,000 passengers are allowed to enter Kuwait per day, it is expected to continue after February 21st until further notice.
