KUWAIT CITY, July 6: The Commercial Labor Circuit of the Court of First Instance obligated a famous air freight company to pay KD 13,000 to an expatriate working as a manager in consideration of his labor rights represented in job termination dues, perks and end-of-service indemnity. According to the plaintiff counsel Lawyer Ali Jowhar, his client joined the company as a manager for a monthly salary of KD 2,000. He worked until his service was terminated after he submitted his resignation, which the company accepted.

However, the company failed to pay his labor rights represented in the termination dues, perks and end-of-service indemnity on the basis of comprehensive wage, notice allowance, commission rate, flight ticket allowance, salary for the last three months, vacation balance and other labor entitlements. This prompted him to file his labor complaint after an amicable settlement failed. By Jaber Al-Hamoud Al-Seyassah, Arab Times Staff
