Expat Visa Transfers Begin, Deadline Set for June 30

KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced that the decision regarding the transfer of expatriate workers in certain sectors to other sectors came into effect on Friday, May 1, and will continue until June 30, reports Al-Seyassah daily. PAM stated in a post on its X account on Thursday that applications to benefit from this decision will be submitted through the “Ashal Companies” online service.

The approval of the original employer is required for accepting the transfer request and proceeding with its implementation. The sectors covered by the ministerial decision include small and medium enterprises, industry, agriculture, livestock, and fishing. PAM pointed out that the decision is a flexible regulatory step to meet labor market demands and achieve a balance between the various parties involved in the employment relationship.
