Expat Reports Car Break-In in Farwaniya; Four Expats Held in Separate Drug and Alcohol Cases

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 10: An expatriate has reported a theft incident to police after discovering that his vehicle had been broken into while parked near his residence in Farwaniya.

According to security sources, the man visited Farwaniya Police Station on Tuesday morning and stated that he found the side window of his car smashed as he approached the vehicle parked next to his building. Upon inspection, he discovered that a wallet containing official documents, a mobile phone, and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen.

The complainant told investigators that he did not suspect anyone of carrying out the theft and said he had no disputes or problems with any individual that could have led to the incident.

A case of theft by breaking in and forced entry was registered, and forensic experts were dispatched to the scene to collect fingerprints and other evidence. The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department, which has launched efforts to identify and apprehend the suspect.

In a separate development, security personnel in Farwaniya and Jahra governorates arrested four expatriates of different nationalities on charges related to the possession of locally manufactured alcohol and narcotics.

According to a security source, two of the suspects were arrested in Farwaniya after authorities found seven bottles of locally produced alcohol in their possession. The other two were detained in the Mutlaa area after being found with two packets of marijuana.

The four suspects have been referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation and legal action. Authorities indicated that the individuals could face deportation upon completion of legal proceedings, with their names potentially being placed on a blacklist preventing their future re-entry into Kuwait.
