Expat bachelors evicted from private residential areas - Electricity power supply cut

KUWAIT CITY, July 9: Kuwait Municipality has announced that the awareness campaign to limit the phenomenon of bachelors living in private residential areas has achieved success in the first week of its launch, as it has resulted in the evacuation of bachelors from 20 houses, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press release, the Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality explained that the campaign resulted in the issuance of 47 warnings, placing 320 warning stickers and disconnection of electricity from 43 violating houses.

The teams worked as per a plan that has been prepared after receiving several complaints. The team has been dealing seriously with the complaints that were received through the Hotline No. 139 or via its social media account “@ kuwmun”. Kuwait Municipality urged all Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to cooperate with the concerned authorities and report about any bachelors living in private houses.
