KUWAIT CITY, March 14: The final match of the Warba Bank Football League for Higher Education is to take place at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium in the Arab Club on Saturday At 9:00 AM. This match brings together the teams of Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences and the Gulf University for Science and Technology, forming part of the competitions of the Third Sports Games for Higher Education, organized by the Kuwait Sports Federation.
The league featured the participation of 14 teams representing public and private higher education institutions. The Kuwait College of Science and Technology team secured third place, while the American University claimed fourth.
Faisal Al-Maqseed, President of the School Union and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the session, emphasized the strong competition witnessed throughout the Warba League this season, from the group stage to the semi-finals. Saad Al-Abdullah Academy and Gulf University emerged as finalists. Al-Maqseed highlighted the strategic partnership with Warba Bank, which contributed to increased competition across all games, not limited to football. He stressed the Supreme Committee's commitment to enhancing future editions, with an expected increase in participants exceeding 14 teams, compared to the current 11.
Al-Maqseed also noted the significant interest from various state institutions in the league's conclusion, with the match set to be broadcast live on the third sports channel. He acknowledged the solidarity among higher education institutions, along with the support provided by the General Sports Authority, as crucial factors contributing to the successful organization of the league.
