‘Exam cheats to face law’; Strict steps taken to prevent negative phenomenon

KUWAIT CITY, May 30: The Ministry of Education affirmed that it will not hesitate to implement legal procedures in the event of any negative phenomena affecting the integrity of the year-end exams, reports Aljarida daily. In a press statement, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Education Ahmad Al- Wahida expressed appreciation for the cooperation and response of the Ministry of Interior in this aspect.

He explained that the year-end exams in intermediate and secondary schools are proceeding as per the prepared plan and under direct follow-up of the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani. Strict administrative measures have been implemented to prevent any negative phenomenon that may occur and affect the conduct of exams or their results.

The leaders and officials of the ministry have been following up the progress of the committees on the ground on a daily basis. Reports are submitted directly to the minister to follow up the process closely with strict application of the regulations without complacency or laxity towards any individual or collective cases that obstruct the progress of the examination process.

The ministry’s procedures in following up the examination committees, since their launch on May 23, have been met with great satisfaction in the educational field from students and teachers who praised the good organization and the reduction of negative phenomena that appeared previously.

Al-Wahida highlighted the positive responses from the students’ parents, which reflects the ministry’s keenness to come up with realistic results that reflect the students’ real academic ability and give each student his right in order to maintain the quality of education and the outputs of the Ministry of Education. He stressed the keenness to ensure a comfortable atmosphere for students both mentally and physically in the examination halls, as well as to provide them with all amenities.
