Ex MP acquitted of kidnapping his own children

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: The Criminal Court recently cancelled the seven-year prison sentence imposed on a former lawmaker in absentia and acquitted him of kidnapping his own children, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Case files indicate that the defendant’s ex-wife filed a lawsuit against him due to personal status issues between them. She claimed that her ex-husband kidnapped their children when they visited him in Turkey, where he is currently staying because of the court verdicts issued against him.
