KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: A mother has filed a police complaint against her former husband, a non-Kuwaiti, accusing him of taking their young son abroad after he allegedly failed to bring the child for a court-ordered visitation appointment.
The woman, born in 1988, said she waited for her son, born in 2019, at the scheduled time but the child never arrived. When she contacted her former husband to find out what had happened, she was reportedly shocked to learn that he had left the country with the boy.
She subsequently went to the police station and lodged a complaint, prompting authorities to notify the Public Prosecution. The prosecution ordered the case to be registered and directed the Criminal Investigation Department to investigate the circumstances, establish the child’s whereabouts and take the necessary legal measures.
