EU Condemns Iranian Missile and Drone Attacks on UAE

GENEVA, May 4: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has strongly condemned Iran’s missile and drone attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, calling them a violation of sovereignty and international law.

In a statement posted on X, von der Leyen said the attacks are “unacceptable” and represent a clear breach of international norms. She stressed that the European Union will continue working with international partners to support de-escalation efforts and pursue a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.

“We will keep working closely with our partners on de-escalation and diplomatic resolution, to bring an end to the Iranian regime’s brutal actions,” she said.

The comments come amid rising international concern over escalating tensions in the Gulf region following a series of missile and drone incidents.
