BRUSSELS, July 1: The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has advised airlines to continue avoiding airspace over Iran, Iraq and Lebanon, warning of ongoing uncertainty surrounding the regional ceasefire and the possibility of rapid escalation.

EASA said Wednesday it had extended its conflict-zone advisory for the region until July 8, following an earlier warning that was set to expire on July 1.

The agency urged airlines to remain cautious across the Middle East, citing security concerns and the unpredictable nature of developments in the region.

The advisory comes amid continued international monitoring of the ceasefire situation and heightened tensions following recent military exchanges involving Iran and regional actors.
