Etihad Airways to Resume Limited Flights to Select Routes Starting 6 March

ABU DHABI, Mar 6: Etihad Airways announced that it will resume a limited commercial flight schedule from 6 March 2026, operating between Abu Dhabi and select key destinations. The airline said that guests with previous bookings will be accommodated on these flights as soon as possible, and new tickets are available for sale through etihad.com.

Authorities stressed that passengers should not travel to the airport unless they have been directly contacted by Etihad or hold a confirmed booking on one of the new flights. The decision to resume operations follows extensive safety and security assessments carried out in coordination with relevant authorities. Etihad confirmed that it will continue to monitor conditions closely and will operate flights only once all safety criteria are fully met.

All other scheduled commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended, with additional destinations to be added as conditions permit. Affected passengers will receive direct communication from Etihad confirming flight status and available options. Guests are encouraged to ensure their contact details are up to date and to monitor their emails for further updates.

Etihad has also provided guidance for passengers: check flight status online before travelling, rebook tickets issued on or before 28 February 2026 free of charge for travel up to 15 May 2026, and submit refund requests online or via travel agents as applicable. The airline noted that it is experiencing a high volume of calls and encouraged guests seeking refunds to use the online request form.

Etihad reaffirmed that passenger safety remains the top priority, and flights will only operate once all safety standards are met.
