KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: Police officers at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station have referred an Ethiopian expatriate woman to the General Department for Drug Control on suspicion of drug trafficking after she was caught allegedly placing a hashish cigarette at a designated location for collection by a customer.
According to a security source, investigations revealed that the woman allegedly took children with her when visiting locations and public squares where she left drugs for users to collect, apparently to avoid attracting the attention of security personnel.
Following her arrest, police searched her residence and found additional cigarettes suspected of containing narcotic substances and allegedly prepared for distribution. The items were seized, and the woman was referred to the competent authorities for investigation into the source of the drugs and the alleged distribution activity.
The source added that three children were with the woman at the time, but she did not produce identification documents for them. Investigators will examine the circumstances of the children’s presence with her.
