Ethiopian running fake maids office; Georgian gang held trading in counterfeit currencies

KUWAIT CITY, March 24: Police have arrested an Ethiopian for running fake labor recruitment office, reports Al-Anba daily. When the Ethiopian was stopped by police in Farwaniya for an unidentified reason, they found in his car a number of receipts in the name of a domestic labor office. When police checked the name they did not find the office, but one thing was for sure the suspect had taken money from Kuwaitis and expatriates after promising to provide them domestic workers. The Ethiopian was reportedly promoting his trade via the Internet and was disappearing after taking some money in advance. The suspect has been referred to the General Department for Residence Affairs.

Georgians nabbed: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested three Georgians for trading in counterfeit currencies, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the report, the suspects entered the country on tourist visas. Security sources say a big gang of men is at work. They work in groups. Upon arrival they stay in the country for about a week and then another group takes over. The members of the gang have been referred to the Prosecution.
