Erratic Driving Leads to Drug Arrest in Hawally

KUWAIT CITY, Jul 6: Police officers from the Hawally Security Directorate arrested a repeat offender after stopping his vehicle for erratic driving on Arabian Gulf Road, authorities said.

According to a security source, officers on patrol became suspicious of an SUV being driven recklessly on the evening before last and ordered the driver to pull over.

The driver was found to be under the influence of drugs. A records check revealed that the suspect, a man in his thirties, was unemployed and had a criminal record.

A search of the suspect led to the seizure of narcotics, including crystal methamphetamine and a hashish cigarette, along with drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was taken into custody, and the seized items were confiscated. Legal action has been initiated, and he has been referred to the competent authorities for further investigation.
