Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak and Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousef Al-Sabah honor the champions.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18:  KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: The EQUICIETY Dressage Championship wrapped up successfully following two days of high-level competition held on Friday and Saturday at the Police Sports Federation arena in Subhan, drawing a record turnout of riders and strong participation from both men and women.

The championship featured impressive performances by Reem Al-Sultan, Fajr Al-Sabah, Areej Al-Meyaan, Salahuddin Belaroui, Abdullah Al-Gharbally, and Abdullah Al-Hoqal, highlighting the growing standard of dressage competition in Kuwait.

Winners were crowned by Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak and Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousef, who also honored the youngest participant in the tournament, rider Haider Baqer.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak emphasized the importance of dressage as the foundation of equestrian sport, noting that the 2025–2026 season has witnessed a surge in dressage-related events and activities. He credited the Kuwait Equestrian Federation for its continued support, as well as coordination with international governing bodies, which has led to the organization of championships and training camps aimed at developing equestrian sport.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General (Naval) Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, President of the Police Sports Federation, highlighted the federation’s active sporting calendar, revealing that the Subhan arena has hosted numerous events in recent weeks. He added that several equestrian championships are scheduled during the current period, including weekly local competitions on Fridays, an international championship later this month, and the hosting of the Equestrian League final in cooperation with the Kuwait Equestrian Federation.
