Envoys extend Eid greetings to Kuwait, hail armed forces

KUWAIT CITY, March 19: The ambassadors of several brotherly and friendly nations extended congratulations to the State of Kuwait, its leadership and its people on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. These ambassadors expressed their wish for blessings for the whole nation and commended the Kuwaiti security forces for their courage, vigilance and professionalism in protecting the country, as well as the unity of the Kuwaiti people – a reflection of the strength and cohesion of the national fabric.

Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Mohamed Abu Al-Wafa offered heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion. He prayed to Almighty Allah that this blessed occasion returns to the State of Kuwait, its leadership, government and people with goodness, prosperity, blessings and more progress. The Arab Republic of Egypt expressed full solidarity with the State of Kuwait under the current circumstances and confirmed support for all measures being taken to preserve its sovereignty, security and stability. Egypt wished the sisterly State of Kuwait permanent security, peace and stability, affirming its pride in the deep-rooted fraternal and historical relations with Kuwait and the enduring social, cultural and humanitarian ties connecting the two brotherly peoples.

British Ambassador Qudsi Rasheed stated “I extend my heartfelt wishes to the people and leadership of Kuwait during this difficult time. We pay tribute to the brave men and women serving on the front lines, whose sacrifices allow others to celebrate in safety. The United Kingdom stands shoulder to shoulder with Kuwait, united in our commitment to its security and stability.”

Russian Ambassador Vladimir Zheltov extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince and the Kuwaiti people, wishing everyone a blessed Eid filled with goodness, security, prosperity and well-being. Zheltov stated that “in light of the dramatic events currently unfolding in the Gulf region, we call on the Islamic nation during this blessed occasion to demonstrate solidarity and goodwill in order to protect Islamic values and promote coexistence among peoples.”

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Zafar Iqbal extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince and the government and people of Kuwait on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. He confirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity with the leadership and people of Kuwait in light of recent events, while praising the courage, vigilance and professionalism of the Kuwaiti security forces that contributed to protecting the country and ensuring the safety and security of citizens and expatriates. He also expressed sincere condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, wished speedy recovery for the injured, and commended the unity of Kuwaiti people, which reflects the strength and solidarity of the national fabric. He emphasized that Kuwait, thanks to the wise guidance of its leadership, has presented a distinguished model in maintaining the continuity of daily life through efficient management, preparedness and national harmony, making it a model for the region. He reaffirmed the deep fraternal relations that bind the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the State of Kuwait, stressing that his country is keen on further strengthening the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the two countries. He wished Kuwait continuous security, stability and prosperity.

Italian Ambassador Lorenzo Morini extends his warmest greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait.

​Ambassador Morini highlighted that the current regional landscape calls for heightened unity and international solidarity to safeguard shared human values. He concluded by wishing the leadership and the people of Kuwait a future filled with peace and prosperity.
