Entry visas eyed – Hope for teachers

KUWAIT CITY, June 8: The Ministry of Education has started taking action about the situation of 1,900 teachers who are stranded abroad, reports Al-Rai daily quoting a source from the educational sector. According to the source, the ministry will provide its interior counterpart with the necessary information like the expiry date of these teachers’ residency permit in order to issue temporary entry visas for them to pave way for their return in batches starting from August and until the opening of the new academic year in September; taking into account the quarantine period for those who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus.
