KUWAIT CITY, Oct 26, (Agencies): In a proactive move to monitor and secure strategic food reserves, the Minister of Social Affairs and Family Affairs, Sheikh Feras Al Saud, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Mohammed Al-Ayban, conducted an inspection tour of several cooperative stores to assess the availability of food inventory and consumption.

Sheikh Feras Al Saud emphasized that this tour was carried out in accordance with the directives of the Cabinet to oversee the strategic inventory and stressed the ministry's commitment to ensuring a minimum six-month supply of essential food items. He called on the "Affairs" officials to closely monitor the cooperative societies and their compliance with providing the strategic inventory within the specified time frame, in coordination with the Cooperative Societies Union.

In a similar statement, Minister Al-Ayban reaffirmed the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's commitment to ensuring an adequate supply of food and consumer goods for sufficient durations. These inspection tours are aimed at directly assessing the readiness of the stores, ensuring their diversity, and guaranteeing they meet the requirements for a secure and safe inventory.

This initiative underscores the government's dedication to securing the nation's food reserves and ensuring that citizens have access to essential commodities.
