DUBAI, Mar 7: Emirates Airlines flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice, with authorities and airlines urging passengers not to travel to the airport amid ongoing regional developments.
In an advisory issued on Saturday, Emirates confirmed that all flight operations have been temporarily halted, asking passengers to avoid heading to Dubai International Airport until further updates are announced.
The airline said the decision was taken with safety as the top priority. “The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised,” the airline said in its statement, adding that further updates will be shared as the situation develops.
Emirates also announced flexible options for passengers affected by the disruption. Customers booked to travel between February 28 and March 31 can rebook their flights to the same destination for travel on or before April 30, subject to availability. Passengers who booked through travel agents have been advised to contact their agents directly, while those who booked through the airline can arrange changes through its customer support channels.
The airline also confirmed that passengers may request a full refund of their ticket if they choose not to travel. Refund requests can be submitted through the airline’s official website, while customers who booked through travel agents must apply for refunds through their agents.
In addition, all city check-in facilities across Dubai have been temporarily closed until further notice.
Passengers have been urged to ensure their contact details are updated through their booking management page to receive the latest notifications and flight updates.
Authorities and airlines continue to monitor the evolving situation and are expected to provide further guidance in the coming days.
