DUBAI, May 4: Dubai-based carrier Emirates Airline has announced a near-complete restoration of its global operations, with 96% of its international network now back in service following recent operational disruptions.

The airline currently operates flights to 137 destinations across 72 countries, supported by more than 1,300 weekly flights, which represents around 75% of its pre-disruption capacity. The recovery marks a significant rebound in global connectivity for one of the world’s largest long-haul carriers.

Between 1 March and 30 April 2026, Emirates carried approximately 4.7 million passengers, reflecting strong demand across key international routes as travel activity continues to normalize.

The airline said the network restoration underscores its operational resilience and continued commitment to reconnecting global markets through Dubai, a major international aviation hub.

Flydubai reports strong customer confidence

In a parallel development, Dubai-based low-cost carrier flydubai reported a sharp improvement in customer sentiment during March 2026, with its Net Promoter Score (NPS) nearly doubling compared to previous months.

The airline said the surge in satisfaction reflects growing passenger confidence in both the airline’s services and the broader stability of aviation operations in the UAE and Dubai. Flydubai also successfully operated more than 3,800 flights in March, maintaining steady operations during the same period of disruption.

Together, the performance of both carriers highlights a strong recovery in Dubai’s aviation sector, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global travel and transit hub.
