KUWAIT, Aug 21: The Kuwaiti embassy in the United Kingdom confirmed that the British government has not canceled quarantine for those coming in from several countries, including Kuwait.

The embassy said in a press statement that what is being circulated about canceling the 14-day quarantine for arrivals is incorrect as the British government is considering reducing quarantine days without mentioning their duration.

The embassy stated that Kuwaiti citizens wishing to travel to the United Kingdom have to undergo mandatory quarantine for a period of 14 days until the British authorities announce the cancellation or reduction of the quarantine.

The British government is currently working in cooperation with private companies to look at the possibility for rapid test center for corona virus at Heathrow Airport on paid basis which will be an alternative to the mandatory quarantine of travelers coming to it.

On June 8, the British government implemented a mandatory quarantine for those coming from most countries of the world for a period of two weeks, with the aim of limiting the spread of the Coronavirus.
