KUWAIT CITY, Mar 3: The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E Paramita Tripathi, addressed the Indian community in the country amid the ongoing security situation, praising their calm, resilience, and cooperation during these challenging times. She expressed gratitude to the Kuwaiti authorities for their continuous efforts to protect residents, and reaffirmed India’s full support for Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Ambassador Tripathi highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had spoken with Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, while External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held discussions with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, underlining India’s solidarity with Kuwait and its people.
The ambassador reassured Indian nationals that the Embassy is operating 24/7, with dedicated helplines, email support, and functioning consular services. She noted that all four Indian Consular Assistance Centers in Kuwait are open according to Ramadan working hours (9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fridays closed), and that advisories from both the Embassy and Kuwaiti authorities are regularly updated online.
Addressing practical concerns, the ambassador urged Indians to rely only on official sources, avoid rumors, and follow guidance from local authorities. She also noted that temporary airspace closures are being coordinated with airlines, and that CBSE exams scheduled until March 5 have been postponed, with updates to follow.
Ambassador Tripathi concluded by advising the community to avoid unnecessary travel, remain vigilant, and assured them that the Embassy continues to engage with community associations and regional media to monitor and respond to their needs.
