KUWAIT CITY, Mar 19: The Embassy of Georgia to the State of Kuwait presents its compliments to the friendly Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, all Diplomatic, and International Organizations accredited to the State of Kuwait, With profound sorrow, the Embassy of Georgia has honour to inform of the passing of His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, on Monday.17 March 2026, in Tbilisi.
In observance of this solemn occasion, the Embassy of Georgia would like to convey the following:
The Government of Georgia has declared a period of National Mourning until the conclusion of the State Funeral on 22 March.
• Consequently, the national flag at the premises of the Embassy will be flown at half-mast; A Book of Condolences will be opened at the premises of the Embassy of Georgia in the State of Kuwait, located at Salwa, Block 12, Str. 12, Villa 5, on Thursday and Friday 19-20 March 2026 from 14:00 to 16:00
