DUBAI, March 18: High-speed satellite internet provider Starlink is now available in the United Arab Emirates, offering both home and roaming internet services to residents.
The Elon Musk-owned company stated on its official website that its roaming service starts at Dh190 per month for 100GB of data, while unlimited roaming data is priced at Dh370 per month.
For home internet, Starlink offers a hardware kit at Dh1,099 and monthly plans starting at Dh230. Residential customers can choose between Residential Lite, which provides unlimited usage at Dh230 per month, and the Residential package, which delivers maximum speed with unlimited data at Dh300 per month.
Starlink, developed by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, operates via thousands of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. Unlike traditional broadband that relies on underground cables or cell towers, these satellites reduce latency and provide fast connectivity suitable for video calls, streaming, and online gaming. The company claims 99.9% uptime and weather-resilient service.
As of March 2026, Starlink services are available in over 150 countries and territories worldwide, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. In the Gulf region, the service is active in the UAE, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Earlier, the Kuwait Public Authority for Communications and Information Technology announced that it had granted Starlink a license to provide satellite internet services in Kuwait, as part of efforts to enhance digital infrastructure and support the country’s digital transformation initiatives.
