Education Ministry introduces 'electronic inventory' service for school librarians.

KUWAIT CITY, May 19: Ahmed Al-Majidi, Director of the Libraries Administration, confirmed the recent announcement regarding the launch of a fully electronic inventory service and a digital repository for school books. This modernized version will be accessible to all school librarians and secretaries across educational regions, aligning with directives from Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

In a press statement released today, Sunday, Al-Majidi highlighted the initiative's aim to keep pace with technological advancements and promote digital transformation projects. The move towards e-government is integral to achieving the library administration's vision of sustainable libraries equipped with modern technologies.

The implementation of this service commenced at the start of the year, with each school provided with a unique username and password to access the electronic inventory system website and the digital warehouse. This initiative aims to create an extensive database facilitating the ministry's ability to monitor, store, retrieve, and automatically share data with relevant authorities in the country, be it for statistical analysis or research purposes.

The launch of the fully electronic inventory service represents a significant step towards modernizing school libraries and embracing digital solutions in the educational sector. It underscores the commitment of the Libraries Administration to enhance accessibility and efficiency in managing educational resources.
