KUWAIT CITY, May 20: Al-Ojairi Scientific Center announced that the first crescent of Dhu al-Hijjah will be sighted astronomically on May 28, with the Day of Arafah falling on June 5 this year, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a press release, the center explained that the crescent of Dhu al-Hijjah will be born after the conjunction at dawn on May 27, the 29th of Dhu al-Qi’dah, and will be visible on that day. The new crescent will remain visible in Kuwait’s skies for 43 minutes and can be clearly seen after sunset on the sighting day. The crescent will be visible in Arab and Islamic capitals for a duration of 40 to 58 minutes. According to scientific calculations, Eid al-Adha will be observed on June 6, 2025
