RIYADH, May 17: Saudi Arabia has announced that Monday, 18th May, will mark the first day of Dhul-Hijjah for the year 1447 AH, setting key dates for the upcoming Hajj season and Eid al-Adha celebrations.
According to the announcement, the Day of Arafah will fall on Tuesday, May 26, while the first day of Eid al-Adha will be observed on Wednesday, May 27.
The declaration signals the start of the sacred Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah, during which millions of pilgrims gather in Makkah for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, one of the five pillars of Islam.
