Eid al-Adha holidays in Kuwait from May 26 - 31

KUWAIT CITY, May 19: The Cabinet of Kuwait has announced a public holiday for all ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions on the occasion of Arafat Day and Eid Al-Adha for the year 1447 AH.

The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait. According to the announcement, the holiday will begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, with official holidays continuing through Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (May 26–29), followed by the weekend on Saturday and Sunday (May 30–31). Official working hours will resume on Monday, June 1, 2026. Authorities also noted that government entities with special operational requirements will determine their working arrangements in coordination with relevant authorities, in line with public interest.

On this occasion, the Cabinet extended its greetings and congratulations to His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, as well as citizens and residents, praying for continued prosperity, peace and blessings for Kuwait and the Islamic world.
