KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: An Egyptian worker in his twenties died after being electrocuted while working at a building under construction in Salmiya.
According to a security source, the Ministry of Interior’s operations room received a report from the victim’s brother that he had suffered an electric shock while working at the construction site.
Security and ambulance personnel rushed to the location and found that the worker’s brother had already taken him to a clinic located opposite the building in an attempt to save him. However, he had died from his injuries.
During questioning, the brother told authorities that the worker had been electrocuted by a generator while carrying out his work. He said he immediately tried to get him medical assistance by taking him to the nearby clinic, but the worker had already passed away.
Forensic and medical examiners were called to the scene and removed the body, while security authorities began an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
